Marianopolis College
Marianopolis College is a private English-language college founded in 1908 and located in Westmount, near downtown Montreal. The campus is compact and surrounded by vegetation, and has beautiful buildings dating back to the early 20th century. With more than 2,000 students, Marianopolis College offers six pre-university programs in arts and science, arts, literature and communications, liberal arts, social science, science and music, including “double DECs” that allow students to earn diplomas in music and another discipline.
Marianopolis holds breaks—called activity periods—two afternoons a week. Students have the chance to attend guest lectures, compete in intramural sports and attend club events and other extracurricular activities. The college has intercollegiate teams that play basketball, badminton, soccer, flag football, ultimate and volleyball.
