Looking for a program with an international flavour? Université du Québec à Montréal’s executive MBA program is offered in partnership with 12 of the world’s best management schools. These global alliances provide opportunities for the nearly 300 students registered at the Montreal campus to take courses abroad—or even obtain a double diploma from the Université Paris-Dauphine. Every year, more than 500 international business executives enrol in UQAM’s EMBA at universities in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America, where the program is offered in English, French and Spanish.

Whether you study at home or abroad, the program is open to working professionals with management experience (four years of experience are required for students who hold a bachelor’s degree; two years for those with a master’s degree; and one year for students with a Ph.D.). On average, students have 10 years’ experience in management positions. Offered on a part-time basis, the program encourages students to apply their lessons to real business case studies within their own company or organization. Students prepare for courses and seminars beforehand so that classroom time (one intensive weekend per month, Friday to Sunday) is devoted to group work, business cases and class discussion. This delivery model allows students to alternate between personal projects and group assignments, and promotes a healthy balance between school and work demands. A week-long summer school on strategic and competitive intelligence is offered every August. The special session is also open to students in the countries that offer UQAM’s EMBA programs. In 2018, students from Quebec, France, Poland and Vietnam attended, providing a unique networking opportunity.

In addition to the general program, UQAM offers specialized EMBA programs in financial services and technology management. Graduates can also use this program as a gateway to a UQAM master’s degree in project management.
