NorQuest College

Founded 1965 | Edmonton

NorQuest College places a high value on inclusivity and diversity, with students from more than 100 countries at the college. The school consults with industry, business and public-sector leaders to develop its diploma and certificate programs in health, community studies, business, technology, hospitality and more. NorQuest also offers professional development training for adult students.

Located in downtown Edmonton, the school features some of Canada’s largest health-care aide and practical nursing programs. Students may apply their learning at the Olson Centre for Health Simulation, where they practice treatment in simulated clinical environments.

Applied research at NorQuest focuses on community and social innovation. The school’s Colbourne Institute for Inclusive Leadership is a leader in integrated, intercultural applied research, education resource development and customized training solutions. The new Rupertsland Institute Métis Student Centre opened in November of 2023, providing services to Métis students and an opportunity for all to engage with Métis culture.

Energy Management: Students learn to apply emerging renewable energy sources, understand energy efficiency and navigate energy policy to support the energy needs of organizations and communities.

Settlement Studies: In this program, the first of its kind in Western Canada, students develop the skills needed to work effectively with newcomers to Canada. They examine the foundational and current practices of settlement work in Canada and develop strategies for empowering, supporting and advocating for clients.

Interdisciplinary Therapy Assistant: This program provides students with a strong occupational and physical therapy assistant background and incorporates essential assistant-level skills in speech language therapy and therapeutic recreation.
