Located a few minutes north of downtown Calgary, Southern Alberta Institute of Technology has breathtaking views of the city and the Rocky Mountains. Students can opt to live in one of two modern high-rise residences at the northeastern corner of the main campus. The residences feature recreation and study spaces, on-site laundry, shared studio art space and around-the-clock security.

SAIT is made up of nine industry-focused schools, including the school of hospitality and tourism and the school of business. In September of 2020, SAIT launched the school for advanced digital technology, which is a tech-driven training hub for digital learning.

SAIT is a skills-intensive institute. It has close industry ties, emphasizes solution-
focused research and innovation and offers four-year bachelor’s degrees. Some graduates will receive their credentials via blockchain technology, which allows graduates to share their accomplishments with potential employers in a secure way.

Cool options

Integrated Water Management: Students learn the role of total water management in identifying local solutions for global water issues. This diploma program includes a work-integrated capstone project in either water environmental technologies or advanced industry applications.

Railway Conductor: Students train for a career in the Canadian railway industry with classroom learning, labs, a private mini rail yard and visits to nearby industrial sites.

Business Administration—Automotive Management (AMG): Students learn the skills needed to get started on a path to a management position in a car dealership, vehicle credit division, after-market company and many other automotive-related businesses.
