2008/2009 Regular term finally ends for York students
York University students are finally done their academic year with exams finally ending yesterday.
However, the consequences of the strike will continue to affect all parties at York for a long time to come. The university is likely to suffer a drop in enrolment this fall, which will result in less sessional lecturers being hired, and students are going to be financially disadvantaged by the shortened summer. Considering how bad the job market is right now for students, I would not be surprised to see many York students unable to find work considering how late they are entering the labour market.
