Congratulations, you get to continue screwing up

While the rest of Canada was firmly fixed on discussing the new federal cabinet, Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Danny Williams decided to do a little cabinet shuffle himself.

Sadly for the province’s post-secondary sector,  Joan Burke will continue to serve as Education Minister despite her destruction of Memorial University’s reputation among potential university presidents.

On the other side of the country, B.C. Minister of Advanced Education Murray Coell continues to be neck-in-neck with Burke in the race for Canada’s most questionable higher ed minister.

Coell continues to play smoke and mirrors relating to any discussion of the province’s cuts to universities. People continue to assisthim with simple mathematics, but he doesn’t get it.
