Jacksonville, ASHE & Obama

I am attending the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE) annual conference in Jacksonville, Florida this week. My colleague Dr. Dennis Sharpe and I will be presenting the results of some of our recent rural student post-secondary transition research at a conference session on Saturday.

Our on-going student transition research is part of a Community-University Research Alliance (CURA) funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council and coordinated through the Killick Centre for E-Learning Research in Memorial’s Faculty of Education.

This afternoon, I am making my way over to the Jacksonville Obama campaign headquarters (the Riverside Staging Location specifically) to help out with the Obama’s GOTV operation here. Oh, the audacity of hope.
