Murdered Sheridan College student will still graduate

College will award certificate at June ceremony

A Sheridan College student who was murdered in Mississauga Saturday will receive his certificate posthumously.

19-year old Luis Estrada-Lemmon was beaten and stabbed to death behind a strip club two weeks before graduating in the skilled labour program, reported the Brampton Guardian. Sheridan College said that it will award the certificate at the June ceremony and lowered its flag to half-mast Monday.

Police arrested two men who were known to the victim. Michael Struc, 23, is facing charges of first-degree murder and Eric Jacome, 24, has been charged with being an accessory after the fact
