New election at UPEI

CBC reports that a new election will be held for student union president at UPEI after problems with the first election.

I’m glad to see that at least one students’ union in this country understands the importance of a fair, transparent election process in the ability of the students union president to successfully hold the creditably to do the job.

It may be annoying to hold another election, but it is much better than having a president who does not have the ability to lobby because they are not seen as legitimate.
