New York students can’t smoke in dorms

Ban to take effect this summer

The Associated Press reports that college dorms in New York will become smoke-free as soon as August 15.

According to the story, “New York state lawmakers have approved legislation to ban smoking in all college dormitories, including private schools, citing health and fire risks.”
