With a $21-million pledge from the Ontario government, Sudbury’s Laurentian University will build the first new architecture school in in the province in more than four decades. The City of Sudbury, which increasingly depends on higher education for economic growth, pledged $10-million for the project back in 2008. The 7,000 square-metre school should take students in 2012 or 2013, according to The Sudbury Star.
