A gun shot was fired in a hallway at a Toronto high school Thursday afternoon. Students at Central Tech were in lockdown and kept inside their classrooms as a result for more than three hours, finally being let out just before 5pm. Other downtown schools also kept their students locked in their rooms. After police questioned two people, a third was taken in for questioning. When students emerged dozens of parents were waiting for them, as was mayoral candidate Rocco Rossi who said “As a parent I’m hugely relieved and delighted no one was harmed."
