Purdue University is hoping to raise $300 million in a new fundraising campaign to expand student financial aid, services, and scholarships.

The Indianapolis Business Journal reports the latest campaign following a $1.7 billion campaign which wrapped up last year.

$300 million is larger than most Canadian university fundraising campaigns.

Most importantly, every dollar is going to assist students. That’s something you will never see in Canada.

To think, the new student focus in American universities is directly related to universities not subsidizing tuition for those who can afford to pay their way.
