UKentucky cuts land lines; saves $840K
The University of Kentucky no longer includes a land line phone as part of their residence package. The University toldThe Associated Press the move will save the university $840,000 dollars and is preventing an increase to residence rates this year.
Interestingly, only seven students requested land lines during move-in.
