UWaterloo names new president

Feridun Hamdullahpur officially replaces David Johnston

University of Waterloo’s interim president Feridun Hamdullahpur was officially placed in the role on Friday after approval from the university’s Board of Governors and senate. Hamdullahpur was appointed interim president last October after then president David Johnston was named Governor General. Hamdullahpur joined the university in 2009 as vice-president, academic and provost, after nine years in a senior administrative role at Carleton University.
