UWindsor students get their drink back on
The University of Windsor Students’ Alliance is providing a $55,000 loan to reopen the money-losing student pub.
Maybe changing the pub will work, maybe it won’t. At least there is a recognition the current model of business was not working and they will attempt to focus more on food sales.
Sadly, they continue to blame the problems facing campus pubs on the fact that first year students are younger in Ontario due to the elimination of Grade 13. This completely ignores the fact that campus pubs are struggling in Alberta where the legal drinking age is 18.
