Abby Sunderland, the 16-year-old who is attempting to sail solo around the world, made headlines yesterday when she went missing for some 20 hours. But her family can relax now. The BBC reported that the young sailor was spotted by an aerial search team, and three ships are on their way to rescue her within the next day. Right now, the teenager is making the journey through treacherous wintertime conditions in the Indian Ocean, prompting critics to question why her parents would allow their teenage daughter to make the perilous journey alone.
