Another brick in the wall

MTV replaces Berlin Wall with one of their own for U2 gig

U2 was in the German capital last night to play a mini-show marking the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall. The 10,000 free tickets to the event were quickly snapped up by fans, and police were expecting as many as 100,000 people to try and crash the party. How were organizers planning to keep ticket-less fans out of the show? They built a wall, naturally. The irony of it all seemed lost on MTV, which organized the concert. The fence, they said, would "ensure the safety and security of the attendees at the event as well as residents and businesses in the area."
