Protesters demand international protection
Arab League monitors reached the Syrian town of Homs on Tuesday, the first international observers to arrive in what has been one of the hotspots of the country’s uprising. Thousands of protesters crowded around the Arab League envoys, Youtube videos show, demanding international protection and pointing to the destruction wrought upon the city by days of heavy shelling by the Syrian army.
