Chunqi Jiang, 40, has been charged with second-degree murder in the dismemberment and slaying of Hua Guang Liu. Jiang is a construction labourer and was Liu’s ex-boyfriend, according to The Star.

Liu, 41, a single mother of three, was last seen on August 11th. On Aug. 16, hikers discovered a severed right foot in a Mississauga park, and police later found a head and a pair of hands. More body parts were found in Scarborough by resident and a Toronto Star reporter the following week.

Jiang will appear in court on September 10th.
