Baghdad bombing kills dozens
Third major attack in a week kills at least 33
As many as 33 people died today in a bombing attack against participants in a “national reconciliation conference” held on the outskirts of Baghdad. Violence levels have sharply declined of late and are now at their lowest level since the summer of 2003, according to a spokesman for American forces in Iraq. But this is the third major attack in a week.
