Balsillie v. Bettman, as soap opera
The "Knight in Shining Loafers" takes on the Count from Sesame Street
It’s a measure of how traumatized Arizonans are by the potential departure of the Coyotes that this is the most prominent item on the topic on the local daily’s sports site. Writer Bob Young sets up the drama as a cast of characters, with lots of, ah, fun wordplay. Jim Balsillie is the "Knight in Shining Loafers." Coyotes’ owner Jerry Moyes, who got rich in transport, is "the Trucker" ... you get the drift. We do, however, like Gary Bettman as the Count from Sesame Street, and Young shows a surprising grasp of Canadian geography and currency value.
