Bloody end to Ramadan in Syria
Assad’s forces kill protestors outside mosques
At least seven protesters were killed by Syrian security forces Tuesday morning when thousands of people across the country tried to stage anti-government demonstrations outside their mosques after saying early morning prayers to mark the end of Ramadan. The killings were carried out in Daraa province (where the protests first began 6 months ago), and in the city of Homs. Several were injured in Damascus. A thirteen-year-old boy is among the dead. An amateur video posted by activists shows protesters calling for the capture and death of Syrian president, Bashar al-Assad.
