Campaigning in Jerusalem, Romney seeks pro-Israel vote at home
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney staked claim to the pro-Israel vote in a foreign policy address in Jerusalem, reports The Globe and Mail.
"We recognize Israel’s right to defend itself and it is right for Americans to stand with you," he said on Sunday.
Romney also promised to not join Israel’s critics, and showed his friendship with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
He declared Jerusalem "the capital of Israel," going against White House protocol.
