Cap credit card interest rates and regulate transaction fees

While campaigning in Brantford, ON, on March 29, NDP Leader Jack Layton promised to cap credit card interest rates at 5 per cent above prime, crack down on excessive transaction charges and make the voluntary credit card and transaction Code of Ethics into law.
