Continue purchase of 65 F-35 joint strike fighter jets
The Conservatives have promised to continue the purchase of the 65 F-35 joint strike fighter jets to replace Canada’s aging CF-18 fighters. The Conservatives say they will cost $9-billion to buy and $6-billion to service, however the PBO and U.S. defence officials have said they will cost closer to $29-billion.
