Romeo Cormier, the 63-year-old New Brunswick man charged with abducting a 55-year-old woman outside a shopping mall and sexually abusing her in confinement for nearly a month, was convicted by a New Brunswick court on Wednesday. Cormier plead innocent to charges of kidnapping, forcible confinement, sexual assault, assault with a weapon, robbery and uttering death threats. The jury found him guilty on all six charges. Cormier maintains that the woman conspired with him to kill her husband, and that the two engaged in “consensual sex games,” The Toronto Star reports.
