The Queen’s representative in Canada uttered the words in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, where, on the first day of an Arctic trip, she “gutted a freshly slaughtered seal, pulled out its raw heart, and ate it.” In this vivid report, Canadian Press tells us that she chowed down on raw seal as a gesture of solidarity with Inuit hunters.
