The Telegraph of London has put the best April Fool’s Day tomfoolery in a slideshow. Among them is the still-classic 1957 announcement that Swiss spaghetti farmers were having a bumper harvest thanks to the elimination of the dreaded spaghetti weevil. More modern spoofs also make the cut: two years ago the BBC announced breathlessly that it had the first footage of the Adèlie penguins in flight.
