Eddie Murphy has a Pryor Commitment
The comedian is slated to play the leading role in a Richard Pryor biopic
After his success as producer of this year’s Academy Awards, writer-director Bill Condon ("Dreamgirls") is looking for a producer for his latest project, a biopic of Richard Pryor entitled "Is It Something I Said?" The choice to play the late great comedian is Eddie Murphy, who already worked with Condon in "Dreamgirls." The casting makes sense: Murphy may not be as influential a comedian as Pryor, but he’s already made several movies that are almost as bad as Pryor’s work in "Superman III."
