Extend tax break for manufacturers

On March 30, while campaigning in Brampton, ON, Prime Minister Stephen Harper promised that a Conservative government would extend the ’accelerated capital investment’ tax break by two years. The measure allows manufacturers to write off investments on machinery and equipment. The extension would save manufacturers a total of $620-million over four years.
