Facebook Vs. Twitter
With new privacy controls, Facebook may have a leg up
Facebook will be changing its privacy settings to give users more control over the amount of information they share and who has access to it. Charlene Lim, founder of digital strategy firm Altimeter Group, says that the proposed changes could give Facebook a competitive edge over it’s rivals. “In many ways,” she says, “it trumps what Twitter does because there are two levels at which someone can use Facebook — a ‘public’ one versus multiple layers of ‘private’ feeds.”
