The fascination with Michelle Obama is fueling a publishing bonanza, with two unauthorized biographies and two children’s books already on bookshelves and an upcoming guide to her “iconic” style about to land, says the Washington Times. Liz Lightfoot, the author of Michelle Obama: First Lady of Hope, which has been published in 12 countries, attributes the great curiosity to the fact that Mrs. O “represents the American dream” and also is “very traditional.” The Mom-in Chief’s power has also been registered in a partial victory against the company that issued dolls named Malia and Sasha, after the Obama girls: the company just announced that it will be renaming the dolls Sydney and Mariah.
