Details of the program are reportedly still being hammered out as Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon prepares for a trip to New York, where the UN is hosting an emergency meeting on the situation in Pakistan. The federal government has already pledged $33 million in aid to Pakistan, but aid organizations say they’re still having trouble collecting donations to pay for the relief effort.
