Gunman kills four police officers in Washington State
Officers appear to have been ambushed
A gunman in Washington State killed four uniformed police officers in an apparent ambush on Sunday. The suspect reportedly walked into a coffee shop near Tacoma and opened fire on the officers, who were working on preshift paperwork. "This was an execution, no doubt," says Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer. "This was a targeted attack." So far, police have yet to uncover a motive for the deadly shooting. The officers had not been threatened.
