Has Apple lost its bite?
The unveiling of the company’s newest iPhone sparks debate at the Telegraph about whether or not Apple remains the industry innovator. Claudine Beaumont argues is, noting that the new iPhone 3G S handset “is not really the story; rather, it is iPhone 3.0, the operating system update that will be pushed to all iPhone users shortly before the 3G S hits the shops.” Matt Warman takes the counter position, observing that the 3G S’s “cut and paste” application was first used by Xerox in 1974: “If the computer company that so many users think is the best in the world didn’t deem its customers worthy, in the first place, of technology that is 35 years old, then isn’t such arrogance going to be its downfall?”
