Environment Canada issues warnings over “sultry tropical air mass”
Central and Eastern Canada continues to bear the brunt of the heat wave sweeping the country, CTV News reports. Environment Canada has issued heat and humidity warnings in the Montreal and Laval regions, where temperatures are anticipated to reach 31° C. Southern Ontario is also a target, in which—according to Environment Canada—a “sultry tropical air mass” has enveloped the region. Windsor, Ont. was the hottest place in Canada on Thursday, with a temperature of 39° C. CTV News
