A sightseeing helicopter and a small plane collided and crashed into the Hudson River on Saturday—and the accident was seen by people on both the New York City and Hoboken, N.J., sides of the river. All nine people on board—five Italian tourists and the pilot of the helicopter as well as the plane’s pilot and two passengers, one a child—are said to be dead. Witnesses say the plane was flying below the helicopter when it made contact.
