Huckabee, Coulter, Limbaugh to speak in Calgary
Calgary is swiftly becoming a Canadian haven for Republican stalwarts seeking refuge from the current Democratic ascendancy in the U.S. Earlier this year, the red-meat city hosted George W. Bush, who spoke publicly for the first time after leaving office. Now comes word that Craig Chandler has booked former Republican presidential nomination candidate Mike Huckabee, writer and professional provocateur Ann Coulter and radio personality Rush Limbaugh--at the moment the de facto leader of the shattered Republicans--to speak in Calgary over the next months. Money raised by the appearances, which could amount to as much as $1 million, will help fund Chandler-approved candidates in Calgary’s 2010 civic elections, he tells Calgary’s Fast Forward Weekly.
