Iranian police and Basij militia have clashed with mourners in Tehran who had gathered for a ceremony to grieve those murdered by state security forces during protests that followed Iran’s rigged presidential election on June 12. The ceremony was to take place at the grave of Neda Agha Soltan, whose death, after she was shot in the chest, was filmed and broadcast around the world, but mourners were dispersed with tear gas or arrested.
