Researchers link knee injury in women to high oestrogen levels

Hormones may be the reason women sustain knee injury, according to scientists at the University of Calgary. The study showed during different stages of their monthly cycle women are at higher risk for injury. Women
had the weakest knee joints and ligaments before and during ovulation when their oestrogen levels are the highest. The scientists hope women can use the study to avoid injury.
