Let’s Make A (New) Deal!

Looking around for something to fill an hour of daytime programming, CBS is considering remakes of two fondly remembered, long-cancelled game shows: Let’s Make a Deal and The Dating Game. You may remember that Let’s Make a Deal was the show where contestants had to dress up in embarrassing costumes, and The Dating Game was the one where total strangers were matched up for dates. Yes, one of its long-running soaps may be replaced with the only shows where people endure more misery than the daytime-TV characters.
