Thanks to a $1.2 million federal grant, Equal Voice (whose goal it is to see more women candidates elected) has instantly transformed from a little-known group into Canada’s most active voice for women. The grant will be delivered by Status of Women Canada. According to the group, Canada ranks 46th out of 186 countries on the number of women in public office with Rwanda, Iraq and Afghanistan ranking higher.
