Last night, in his second prime-time address from the Oval Office, Obama told the U.S. that the Iraq war is over. “Tonight, I am announcing that the American combat mission in Iraq has ended,” said Obama. In his speech, Obama noted the “huge price” of the war for Americans, and said its conclusion means that more resources can go toward fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan and restoring the American economy.
