Is Barack Obama fast-tracking his push for peace in the Middle East? The London-based Arabic A-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper is reporting that the U.S. president has presented the Egyptians and Israelis with a two-year timetable for settling the Palestinian question. The deadline was communicated to Egyptian officials during Obama’s Cairo visit last week. And the paper reports that Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has been given six weeks to respond.
