Pages turn the corner on winning

After five years of losses, the Parliamentary pages beat the MPs in their annual soccer match 9-8. The pages held signs proclaiming, “We will party whip your butt” and “Our caucus is bigger than yours.”

The pages wore black T-shirts and the MPs were supposed to wear white. Liberal Martha Hall Findlay, the only female MP who played this year, didn’t have a white T so NDP MP Peter Stoffer gave her one.

 

Stoffer even autographed it.
