The News Corp. phone hacking scandal hasn’t hit the Murdoch pocket books just yet. Father Rupert and son James both nabbed hefty bonuses from the company for the fiscal year ending June 30, the Guardian reported Friday. Rupert Murdoch’s total compensation rose 44 per cent in 2011, to US$33 million, including a US$12.5 million bonus. James Murdoch, who oversees the European media division, home to the now-defunct News of the World, took in a US$6 million bonus. His total pay rose a whopping 74 per cent, to US$18 million.
