Head of Canadian military begins preparing for 2011

Chief of the Defence Staff Gen. Walt Natynczyk has reportedly instructed his department to begin planning for an end to the Afghanistan mission in 2011. Plans are being drawn up that would see soldiers and equipment withdrawn from the battlefield. "The parliamentary motion was clear, and prudent military planning has begun," Gen. Natynczyk’s spokeswoman told CBC News. "That commences with orders."
