Police canvas drivers for answers in constable’s death
Fifteen-year-old may face homicide charges
Police detectives are interviewing drivers on a stretch of a rural highway near Newmarket, Ont. where York Regional Police Const. Garrett Styles was killed Tuesday morning. Police hope to get a better idea of what happened in the death of the 32-year-old father of two. Styles was alone on patrol when a vehicle he had stopped reportedly dragged him 300 metres down the highway before losing control and flipping over, pinning him to the ground. According to police, a 15-year-old was driving the van. The teen, who remains in hospital with serious injuries, faces possible homicide charges. CTV News
