Montreal police say it’s too early to say if human remains found in Angrignon Park are connected to the body-parts killing.

“It’s too early to confirm if this finding has anything to do with the (Lin) homicide,” Constable Anie Lemieux of the Montreal police told the Montreal Gazette. “We’re waiting on lab results to determine whether what we found are human remains.”

The Gazette goes on to say that details gleaned from the investigation of suspect Luka Rocca Magnotta led police to the Montreal park.

CJAD News in Montreal suggests it was a tip that led police to the area.

QMI Agency, which reports that it was a human head that was found, says police have told the family of Jun Lin about the discovery.
